We collect information needed to provide PromiseStub, including:

• Your email address, account identifier, display name, settings, and sign-in information.
• Promise content you create, including recipient names and relationships, titles, details, notes, categories, choices, dates, status, share links, and rescheduling information.
• Information a recipient provides through a share link, such as their name, choice, preferred day or time, note, reaction, and thank-you message. Recipients do not need an account.
• Promise activity, such as when a promise is created, shared, opened, redeemed, kept, or canceled.
• Dates you ask us to remember, including a person's name, occasion, date, and optional note.
• Technical and operational information, such as server logs used to maintain security and diagnose failures.

We use this information to operate accounts, create and share promises, show promise history, deliver requested account and promise emails, remember preferences, provide support, secure the service, and diagnose problems. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.

When you use the guided conversation in Give, the conversation is sent to our AI service so it can help turn your words into a draft. PromiseStub does not save that conversation as a separate chat in its database, though a draft you choose to save becomes part of your account. The AI service and its model provider may process the conversation under their own service and retention practices. Do not include information you do not want processed for this purpose.

A PromiseStub share link is private but not access-controlled. Anyone who has the link can view the promise, the giver's display name, and information submitted through that promise. Only send a share link to people you intend to have it.

We use service providers to run PromiseStub. These include Lovable Cloud and Supabase for hosting, authentication, database, and server functions; Lovable AI and Google for the AI starter guide; Mailgun for email delivery; Google Fonts on the website; Expo for building the iPhone app; and Apple for App Store distribution and device services. They process information only as needed to provide their services to us and under their own terms and privacy practices.

PromiseStub may keep your sign-in session, unfinished Give work, and dismissed reminders on your device or in your browser. Signing out or deleting your account may not automatically remove every unfinished local draft. You can remove local information by clearing the website data or deleting the app from the device.

We retain account information while the account is active and as needed to operate and protect the service. You can delete your account from the Danger zone in You. Account deletion removes the active account and its associated promises, replies, activity, recipients, dates, and score. Existing emails cannot be recalled, and information may remain for a limited time in provider backups, security logs, or records that must be retained for legitimate operational or legal reasons. Recipients can contact us about information they submitted through a share link.

We use technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect information, including managed authentication and access controls that limit account data to its owner. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

PromiseStub accounts are intended for people age 13 and older. Children under 13 should not create an account or submit personal information to PromiseStub. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through an account, contact us so we can review and remove it. A recipient does not need an account to open a promise shared with them.
